Vom 27. bis zum 29. Juni findet in diesem Jahr die Defqon.1 statt. Das Event gehört zu den Highlights der Hardstyle-Szene. 2003 wird das Festival vom Label und Organisator Q-Dance veranstaltet. Q-Dance gab Anfang 2011 bekannt, dass die Defqon.1 aufgrund fehlender Genehmigungen nicht mehr in Almere stattfinden wird, sondern in Biddinghuizen, nahe dem Freizeitpark Walibi Holland. Auch in diesem Jahr findet dort die Defqon.1 dort statt.

Für die offizielle Hymne in diesem Jahr sorgt Coone. "Survival Of The Fittest" lautet das diesjährige Motto und selbstverständlich auch der Titel der diesjährigen Defqon.1. Wie der Track klingt, könnt ihr am Ende dieses Artikels checken. Wir haben die Preview dort für euch eingebunden. Coone ist natürlich auch Teil des extrem beeindruckenden DJ Line-Ups. Das Who-is-Who der momentanen internationalen Hardstyle-Szene wird am Start sein.
